With five estuaries, four bays, nine rivers and assorted lakes and sloughs, Tillamook County is a magical wonderland of water and Garibaldi is at the heart of it all.
Whether you are a novice or an experienced paddler, you will find a wealth of opportunities to kayak or canoe through miles of beautiful and serene vistas that can only be accessed by boat. And as you do, you can observe a rich ecosystem of birds and wildlife in their natural habitat.
Tillamook Bay, itself, along with the five rivers that feed it and the lakes that surround it are all at your feet in Garibaldi. And Garibaldi is the headquarters of the Tillamook Estuaries Partnership (TEP), which studies and supports the county’s watershed resources. The TEP has published a series of guidebooks to help you find and enjoy the county’s water resources.
